Myself Rajnish, I am an IT professional with 20 years of experience. Needless to say that my job demands long working hours sitting on chair and working on computers and laptops. As a long term effect of these postures, I started getting cervical pain in my neck. In every six month, it used to recall and wherever I used to consult, they used to give basic physiotherapy treatment of Ultrasonic and TENS. This used to give some relief and same story of 6 month work and again pain. This continued for few years and kept on building a bigger issue in backend for me. 2.5 hours back, I started getting a severe pain which used to start from next and was traveling to my right arm. Intensity was so much that I could not do routine work, could not sleep properly. I visited Ortho consultant and they suggested to get correct Physiotheraphy. And here started my journey of wasting time in visiting many clinics for same and everyone was simply repeating same US and TENS treatment. Along side I was on pain killers to lead a normal life and some nerve vitamins as well. This continued for 7-8 months with no results. I switched to a senior Ortho consultant and he suggested me to meet Dr. Meenakshi Rajput, HoD Physiotheraphy Department, Jaipur Golden Hospital, Rohini, Delhi.
I decided to visit her with same mindset of meeting another doctor he will listen my story of pain and will suggest same 2-3 standard treatment. But I was not aware that this was start of my journey from PAIN towards HEALTH GAIN. I was surprised to see such a young doctor at the position of HEAD of the Department, but as soon as she started diagnosing my problem thoroughly, I was convinced about her post. She not only listen the overall case but also spent considerable time to review my problem with physical check up as well. This was very new for me as no other Physiotherapy consultant even bothered to do a personal check up. I remember approx. 45-60 minutes she took just to diagnose the problem and after that she came up with customized treatment package for me. This package was about 1 hour of activities everyday which had so many activities & exercises and US and TENS were just a small part of the overall package. She suggested that problem is so old so it might take some time but we will surely fix it. I started with 10 sessions and could see results after 5th only. Again I extended treatment for 10 more sessions. And Surprisingly my pain killers were no needed in second round. Finally 10 more sessions and all my medicines were stopped. No pain. Overall trementment lasted 4-5 weeks and finally at the end she suggested me to continue with few exercises so that I don’t get this issue build up again. I have been following same since last 15 months and Thankfully no pain re-occurance. Mind it, this is the duration when we all are locked in our houses due to pandemic. Also like to highlight here, in case of any minor issue, she also guided me via online help during lockdowns; clearly shows how much approachable she is and always ready to go out of the way to help her patients.
As per my experience, I can surely call her THE BEST PHYSIOTHERAPIST DOCTOR I have ever met, trust me I have met many in my journey from pain to NO pain. If anyone in my relative or friend ask for recommendation regarding Physiotherapy consultation, I have only one name : Dr. Meenakshi Rajput.
